PlayStation Network is down worldwide

PlayStation Network has been down worldwide since the evening of February 7, affecting online games, with over 71,000 reports of the problem worldwide.

On February 8, 2015, BBC News reported that the PlayStation network, a game service provider from Sony, experienced a service outage for several hours since Friday evening. Sony’s PlayStation Network page stated that the PlayStation Video account management page, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Direct website were all experiencing problems.

Although the problem did not affect offline gamers, it directly affected online games, such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, GTA, and Marvel Rivals, because they could not be accessed.The PlayStation Support page says that they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix as soon as possible. According to the outage reporting website Down Detector, the issue began shortly before midnight on February 7, with more than 71,000 reports.

Some gamers have posted on social media that they are still experiencing the issue, while the PlayStation Support page’s social media channels have been flooded with complaints from gamers around the world.

The BBC has reached out to PlayStation and Call of Duty developer Activision Blizzard for comment.
